Description
This photograph shows a reflection of the Victoria Glacier in Lake Louise. The glacier and lake are located in Banff National Park, in Alberta, Canada. The lake was named for Princess Louise Caroline Alberta, a daughter of Queen Victoria. It is said that Victoria (the glacier) keeps watch over her daughter Louise (the lake.) The water in the lake is a strikingly beautiful color due to the glacial silt suspended in the water.
